monstera plant

 its been too long since I posted and its just cause ive put it off I think. Anyways I haven't really done any more painting since June but here is one of the paintings I had done around that time. I definitely need to be more consciously aware of the colours I mix on the palette and how I want to place them down from dark to light. The amount of shades and hues of grey is overwhelming. Also trying not to get mud is hard, you can tell from some of the leaves how shitty some parts are and you can tell the background I sort of messed up but whatever. I think if anything, besides poorly done art, it is progress and progress is better than me not doing anything which is what I am happy with.

I hope to finish my sketchbook before I turn 20 and im still trying to figure out how serious I am about it because I turn 20 in 49 days and have around 40 pages in it that I want to paint in. So maybe if I finish 5 paintings ill post about it. I guess I just have to sort of meet myself where I am. I won't be happy with every painting.
